Table and Figure Format Sheets
(Authors:
Please adhere strictly to the following examples and instructions for
the format/style to use for Tables and Figures.)
Place the following
statement in the margin of your text (handwritten) after the first cite of
each table and/or figure to give the publishers an indication where you want
them to be placed:

a Footnotes for tables go below the table in this format (period at end). Be sure the footnote letter is also placed appropriately in the table itself for reference.
Note(s): Use Note: or Notes: if the item is not something that can be referenced in the table itself (like the footnote above).

Use Source: or Sources: to list the source(s) of the table information.
IMPORTANT: Table headings go left-aligned above the tables, with the word Table and the table number in bold, followed by a period. The table title (not in bold) should be listed in upper and lower case format, with no period at the end. If the title runs over to a second line, this line should also be left-aligned. Center columns underneath column headings and decimal-align all numbers with decimals. If you have a footnote at the bottom of the table, make sure you also place that footnote letter appropriately in the table itself for reference. All footnote/note/source sentences should end with a period. Make sure all tables have a rule under the heading and at the bottom of the table. Tables should each be saved in a separate file in Word or Wordperfect format.

FIGURES:

IMPORTANT:
Figure
headings go left-aligned below the figures, with the word Figure and
the figure number in bold, followed by a period. The
figure title (not in bold) should be listed in upper and lower case format,
with no period at the end. If the title runs over
to a second line, this line should also be left-aligned.
Figures should each be saved in a separate file in PDF format
format.
